Casa Del Sol is located in a quiet upscale residential neighborhood.  Across the street they are building condos that range in price from $1.7 Million to $4 Million.   But a short walk away is:

Fort Lauderdale Beach.  You can take a look at the beach today via the  Fort Lauderdale live beach cam!   Nearby is the famous and exclusive The Galleria Mall with it's wonderful gourmet food court and 4 world class restaurants.   

Just beside the Galleria Mall is the   Water Bus,   which will takeyou to more than 50 waterfront restaurants up and down the Intercoastal and on the New River.  They have a simple, inexpensive all day fee which allows unlimited rides during a calendar day.

The famous Fort Lauderdale Water Bus picks up just 12 minute walk away and takes you to Los Olas,  River Walk, 17th Street to the south, and Shooters and other restaurants to the North. At the water bus terminal it is possible on Saturday's to take a boat to Miami's South Beach (extra cost ).  The boat stays with you giving you 5 hours to explore South Beach before beginning the 30 mile journey back.  This is a beautiful Intercoastal smooth ride past some of the most expensive real estate in North America. The Waterbus is only $10 per day for unlimited travel in and around Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale is the cultural center of South Florida with live theater, jazz clubs, the elegant Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, and perhaps one of the finest beaches in the world. Check out attractions like The Bonnet House and the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science as well as the  Museum of Art.   Also, you must take an opportunity to check out The Broward Center for the Performing Arts for live shows for many venues.  You might see Bill Cosby, or Tony Bennett, or the Russian Ballet on a world tour.  Their two stages have two different venues each weekend.  

Don't forget about our restaurants as we have many with nearly every cuisine represented including Thai, Indian, Italian, French, German, Mexican, etc. Fresh seafood is of course featured in all cuisine.  One of our favorites is Il Milino , an Italian Restaurant whos Zuppa de Peche is among the best served in the USA in my opinion.

Los Olas Boulevard with it's designer shops and supper restaurants  is five minutes away.  Cafe de Paris where you can sit in a typical French sidewalk cafe and experience the ultimate in French Haute cuisine.  Between the many restaurants, the designer shops and the various night clubs, Los Olas and the River Walk have become the playgrounds of the rich and famous.  Don't be shocked if you see a popular Hollywood star out for a night on the town.

Guests at Casa Del Sol frequently gather poolside between five and six for sundowner cocktails. Often this event turns into either a group evening out or a covered dish cook out. We love families and well-behaved youngsters, and are pet friendly with some restrictions.

Deep-sea fishing, parasailing, and boat rentals are all available nearby. 


Casa Del Sol is a 15-minute, inexpensive, cab ride from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and a 35 minute Shuttle ride from Miami International Airport.  Rentals cars are available but many guests do not rent cars. Bicycles are provided for guests use at Casa Del Sol.  We can arrange car rentals. Our apartments will accommodate four adults or a family of up to five persons.

Apartments are equipped with hair dryers, irons, coffee makers, and Internet connection in addition to amenities listed. One of the owners who speaks French  is normally there from January to May.

 We offer High Speed wireless and hard-line internet connections in each apartment along with free long distance, local and calls to Canada.
